Electric Powertrain Specialist KleanDrive Selected to Join Tech Nation’s Climate Programme.

KleanDrive, a pioneer in the electric conversion of heavy vehicles, has been selected to join Tech Nation’s leading Climate Programme for 2024.

As one of the 24 game-changing companies chosen for this year’s cohort, KleanDrive joins a distinguished community of forward-thinking climate tech companies dedicated to sustainable business practices.

This achievement follows KleanDrive also achieving Certified B Corporation status and being nominated for the Earthshot Prize, further underlining its leadership in environmental sustainability, and driving positive change for people and the planet.

Joe Tighe, CEO of Kleanbus, said:

Joining the programme is not just a recognition of our efforts; it’s a commitment to a journey of developing to achieve environmental impact. We are proud to be part of this collaborative movement and continue our mission to transform transport by accelerating the transition to zero-emission vehicles for the health of our planet.

As we accelerate advancements in electric powertrain technology, these milestones reflect not just our commitment to sustainable mobility but also environmental sustainability, ethical business practices, and our overall social impact.

KleanDrive is accelerating the transition to zero-emission vehicles with its unique modular electric drivetrains and engineering expertise. Using next generation drivetrain technology, the company offers a bespoke solution to quickly decarbonise current and new vehicles and contribute to a more sustainable society for the health of the planet and its inhabitants.

Its revolutionary ‘ePowertrain Module’ solution minimises disruptions and reduces operating costs to a fraction of those associated with buying and building brand-new electric vehicles. This makes it an ideal choice for fleet operators seeking a swift and sustainable transition from diesel to electric, from buses to heavy trucks, and beyond, all without prohibitive costs.

The Earthshot Prize was launched by Prince William in 2020 to search for and scale innovative solutions to the world’s greatest environmental challenges. These solutions must have proven prototypes, show success, and have the potential to make a positive impact on the environment.

To become B Corp Certified, businesses must score 80 and above during the Impact Assessment. KleanDrive successfully scored an overall total of 94.6. Over 150,000 businesses have applied through the B-Corp Impact Assessment, and only 7,891 across 161 industries in 93 countries have met the high standards to become certified.

These achievements solidify KleanDrive’s position as a leader in sustainable and responsible business practices, demonstrating the company’s commitment to drive positive change for people and the planet
